Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, or as I like to call it… Thursday. It’s time to catch everyone up with the latest LA Galaxy news. Let’s get to it!

Preseason is well underway for the guys and so far they have looked really good in their matches. Earlier this week they had a scrimmage against UCLA, they ended up winning 7-2. It was an interesting match seeing as though the rookies and younger players are starting to make a name for themselves. Jack McBean (3 assists) and Charlie Rugg (2 goals) showed their skills with their goals and assists to help LA get the win.

Juninho is back in training mode as he made an appearance at LA’s first preseason match against RSL. LA did end up losing 1-0 and Bruce Arena commented about the match on LA Galaxy’s Web site stating ,”We’re moving forward; the game was not very good on either side, but that’s life. Our passing wasn’t particularly good, our movement wasn’t particularly good…It wasn’t that pleasant to watch today, but that’s life and its part of the way we’re moving forward in the preseason.”

Now for news no one is really sure of… The return of Landon Donovan. Bruce Arena has stated that he’ll be back with LA this season, he just doesn’t know when. It looks as though he might not return until the season is well underway, but who knows. (Personal Statement- It would be nice of him to be a part of the USMNT again, especially after that game in Honduras…)

Becks at PSG training

Cut to David Beckham. I told you guys I was going to keep you informed! As many people know Becks joined PSG on a free transfer, and decided to donate the money to a local children’s charity, he’s such a swell guy. Becks had his first training with PSG Feb. 13, but is he going to be on the field anytime soon?

According to PSG’s manager he hinted that Becks could be making his appearance during their Champions League match on March 6th. If this happens, I’ll be watching and swooning as he runs off the field and gives his shirt to a lucky fan.
