I decided to keep on the LA Galaxy track because they’re MLS Cup Champions… and they are the only team I watch. Therefore, today I introduce you to Sean Franklin. (Who happens to have a Graphic Design degree!)

Franklin was the 4th overall draft pick in the 2008 draft. That year he won Rookie of the Year over Geoff Cameron. He missed most of LA’s 2009 season due to tearing his hamstring… but that didn’t stop him from coming back bigger and better in 2010. 2010-2011 were great years for Franklin. Even though he was out-shined by Omar Gonzalez, and former goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, he still managed to make his mark on the team. People started to take notice.

At the beginning of this season, Sean Franklin was nothing short of a life saver. With Omar Gonzalez out, he stepped up and had to take on a roll that was formally occupied by a 6 foot 5 defender. LA had a loosing season in the beginning, but Franklin made plays that benefited LA. He was nothing short of spectacular in the closing months of the season, and helped LA come away with yet another MLS Cup win.

Next year LA fans will be able to catch him on the field and tearing down Forwards with his speed and agility. I personally, am looking forward to hit!

LA GALAXY’S HOME OPENER FOR THE 2013 SEASON WILL BE MARCH THIRD AGAINST CHICAGO FIRE.
