France 2-Sweden 1
USA 2-New Zealand 0
Japan 2- Brazil 0
Canada 2-GBR 0

The semifinals will be France-Japan and Canada-USA.

World Football Challenge

Real Madrid came back to Los Angeles for the third year in a row to play against LA Galaxy. As a Madridista, I was very excited to see them again. I knew this would be a very exciting match. David Junior Lopes scored the only LA goal. It was his second goal in an LA jersey, the other one was against Spurs. Guess he likes scoring against European teams? The scorers for Real Madrid were Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria, Jose Callejon, Alvaro Morata, and Jese.  Here are all the goals from the game.

It looks like Spanish national Santi Cazorla is close to joining Arsenal. He is currently in La Liga’s Malaga and helped them qualify for Champions League.

Another player who might be joining Cazorla in Arsenal is Nuri Sahin from Real Madrid. Sahin didn’t get much playing time last season, mostly as  a result of injuries. He joined Real Madrid last year from Borussia Dortmund.
