Up now, safeties and cornerbacks!

Safeties

Harrison Smith

The Vikings moved back into the first round int he 2012 draft to select Notre Dame safety Harrison Smith with aspirations of him improving the safety position.

Career stats:

  • 309 tackles — 18.5 tackles for a loss
  • 28 pass breakups
Harrison Smith won’t be given the starting job of the bat, but will likely earn it during training camp.

Mistral Raymond

The Vikings selected Mistral Raymond in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

2011 stats (10 games — 5 starts):

  • 36 tackles
  • 1 interception
Raymond will likely battle Robert Blanton for the starting job opposite of rookie Harrison Smith.

Eric Frampton

Eric Frampton was a special teams standout in 2011 and his teammates took notice when they named their team’s Special Teams MVP.  On special teams, Frampton totaled 22 tackles.
