Luis Salazar Update

Champions Stadium and Braves fans everywhere held their collective breathe as Luis Salazar lay unconscious for over 15 minutes after being struck by a Brian McCann foul in the first inning against the Cardinals.  St Louis pitcher Kyle Lohse turned in time to see the line drive strike Salazar flush in the face.  The former major leaguer and  first year High A manager in the Braves organization was leaning over the railing along with other Spring Training coaches when the ball knocked him down the dugout steps.  Those around him thought he was dead, but the 54 year old regained consciousness and began breathing on his own while being airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.  Reports last night were that brain damage did not occur.  Brian McCann was so shaken by the incident that he immediately removed himself from the game.  Please keep Luis Salazar in your thoughts and prayers.
