Ladies and Gentlemen of the Internet,

This is Stacey, the lead writer of Second Place Is Not An Option and I have a few questions for you:

• Are you a fan of baseball?
• Do you like the New York Yankees?
• Do you enjoy writing about the New York Yankees?
• Or if you haven’t written about them yet, would you like to write about them?
• Do you have the ability to write about stats?
• Are you a whiz at photoshop?

If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions – or all of them if you’re extremely brilliant – then boy oh boy, have I got news for you!

Second Place Is Not An Option is looking for new contributors to write daily, weekly or biweekly columns for the 2013 season. And you can write anything pertaining to the Yankees – Fan fiction, non-fiction, poetry, rants, etc. – whatever floats your boat.

I am also looking for help with graphics. To be honest, photoshop is the devil and I do not and probably will not ever understand it but if you do, let me know because Second Place Is Not An Option would love your help.

Send us your best examples of your photoshop work. This is the kind of stuff we’d like to see:

I just want to see if you can write – Prior writing experience (blogging, school paper, etc.) is preferred.

Ideally, I’d like the newbies to join the site before the Spring Training starts so you have 42 days to get your stuff to me.
