It’s that time of the week again. Time to crown our OMGWTF moment of the week!

I’d like to give the OMGWTF to the entire team and for more than one moment but for four games.

Congratulations four game losing streak! You’re the OMGWTF moment(s) of the week!

Two losses to the Orioles (THE ORIOLES?!) and two losses to the Angels. Oh and did I mention three of them were in extra innings and the last loss on Saturday was a 6-0 shutout at the hands of Dan Haren? Yeeeeah. OMGWTF!

I guess you can say the losses came a good time because while the Yankees had their OMGWTF four game losing streak, the Boston Red Sox have been on their own slide which is now five games long. (Everyone in Boston is saying, “OMGWTF!” too!)

The Yankees – thankfully – held on to win yesterday’s finale against the Angels and are now three and a half games up on Boston in the American League East.

But OMGWTF?! The boys need to not lose so much and create some distance between themselves and Boston. And when they play Tampa – seven times in the final few weeks – they need to play strong. The Rays are on a late season run and just finished up a sweep of the reeling Red Sox this weekend.

This division race is nowhere near being over and Stacey does want to have to refill her Klonopin prescription.
