Yankees News and Notes: 2/9/12
Good morning Yankee fans. It’s Thursday February 9, 2012 and here are some links to get your day started – I apologize for the tardiness, I woke up late.
The Yankees signed Russell Branyan to a minor league deal. Good, I’m sick of him hitting monster home runs against us. Maybe he can hit one for us instead.
Oy, can you imagine John Sterling having to come up with a second home run call for a guy named Russell? Or will he try to rhyme Branyan with Canyon? I’m a little afraid to find out.
Keith Law ranked the Yankees’ farm system tenth in the league, down one slot from last season. I’d link the article but I’m not an ESPN insider and can’t even read it myself. So I’ll link you to River Avenue Blues instead.
