Good news, sort of. Looks like Tex will be missing only about two weeks so he should – barring any setbacks – back before the end of the regular season.

From Eric Boland of Newsday: “Yankees announce MRI showed “irritation” of Tex’s calf strain and he’ll be out “10-14 days.” Also, Melky Mesa to be called up.”

Mesa who played for both Trenton and Scranton/Wilkes Barre is batting .264/.325/.480/.805 this season with 26 home runs and 67 RBI and 118 strikeouts.
