This was pretty typical. How many times… since game 2 of last year’s ALDS, does this team put together a rally when they’re down by like 5 runs in the 9th inning? What bothers me, is that Girardi treats those “too little too late” rallies as if they’re a good sign. They’re not. If anything, they reenforce the fact that this team is psychologically soft and is unable to handle the big spot. Still, this team should stay in the hunt for a wild card spot, but it really doesn’t matter. Like last year, if they continue to fail in big spots, they won’t win anyway so does it really matter?
-BTW, I’m gonna venture a bold guess, and say the Yankees go the entire year without a walkoff hit
