Suter watch has finally come to an end.
And not in the way Nashville had hoped.
The Minnesota Star-Tribune has reported that Ryan Suter is now the newest defenseman on the Minnesota Wild’s roster. After spending seven years with the Predators organization, Suter has reportedly agreed to a thirteen year, $98 million contract with the Wild.
Questions now rise about the future of Shea Weber as well. He has expressed his desire to play with Suter for the remainder of their careers if possible. And with Weber’s contract up this year, who knows what the future holds for the Predators’ top blue line.
Suter had a career high 46 points with the Preds this past season, totaling 30 penalty minutes and 3 power play goals.
We will miss Suter in Nashville, but wish him all the best with his career in Minnesota.
