The IceHogs faced their first 3-games-in-3-nights set since December 7th – 9th. In that set of 3 games, the Hogs went 1-2-0-0 against the Milwaukee Admirals, Chicago Wolves and Grand Rapids Griffins. The playoff-pushing Hogs looked to do better in week 22′s 3-in-3 set as they took on the Oklahoma City Barons and the Wolves.

Week 16 wasn’t kind to the IceHogs as they played their last two games before the AHL All Star Break. They had to take on their I-90 rival Chicago Wolves and a team they had yet to see this season in the Oklahoma City Barons.

The IceHogs had three huge games on tap for the end of week 23 and the beginning of week 24. The weekend featured a home-and-home series against Midwest Division rival Milwaukee and then the Hogs traveled down to the Sooner State to take on Western Conference leading Oklahoma City.

The IceHogs closed out their seven game road trip with a stop in Oklahoma City and another trip to the Lone Star State. They then headed back home to Rockford and a Texas team came to them, for a change, to start off week seventeen.

The IceHogs came into their second and third games of their five game homestand on a roll after going 2-1-0-0 in their previous three games. They needed to keep it up and snag some more wins at home in this crucial part of the season to gain some ground on everyone in the conference.

It was an opportunity for them to snag some crucial points as they rode their momentum from their weekday win against the Grand Rapids Griffins. Next, the Hogs faced a challenge to start off week seven as the 10-4-0-1 Oklahoma City Barons rolled into the BMO for a Wednesday night matchup.
