The fall down the slippery slope continued for the IceHogs in week 17 as they took on some Texas teams. The Hogs set a new franchise record for consecutive losses with their tilts down South. Guess it only makes sense since everything’s bigger in Texas, right? That also makes a win just as big.
Week six brought about three games for the IceHogs. A mid-week contest saw the Rivermen make their way into town, and then there was a home-and-home with Houston to play.
On Friday at 2:00 p.m. CDT, the American Hockey League released the much-anticipated 2012-13 schedule.
Week 25 featured three more huge games for the IceHogs as they continue to make their playoff push. They welcomed back former IceHog Jeff Taffe and his Houston Aeros into the BMO Harris Bank Center for two tilts and then made the quick bus trip up to Milwaukee for a Midwest Division showdown.
The IceHogs finished their three game road trip with a couple of games in Texas and then headed home for their final tilt of the season against Hamilton. As the days go on in the stretch run, every game’s two points become more and more valuable for the Hogs as they continue to fight for their playoff lives.
The IceHogs made their way deep into the heart of Texas for this swing of the road trip that started in Peoria on New Year’s Eve. After playing three games in three days, they headed on back to Illinois for a midweek matchup with the Wolves in Chicago.
