The Chicago Blackhawks won against the Colorado Avalanche in regulation after trailing in the second period — the fifth time they’ve done that this season.
After last night’s game, Jonathan Toews said that he’s running out of words to describe the streak the Chicago Blackhawks are on.
Well, guess what, Toews? So am I!
Unfortunately for me, I’m supposed to come up with words… but I’m taking the night off. See, instead of me describing what happened in the game against the Minnesota Wild, I’m going to let you, the audience, do it using the power of Mad Libs! I’ll provide a list of words you’ll need, and then after you fill in the blanks, you can go on and read your recap.
(This update is coming about twelve hours later than I would’ve liked, thanks to a migraine wrecking my shit for a day. Bear with me.)
Yes, the Chicago Blackhawks have broken the record for longest streak without a regulation loss in the NHL. (The previous team who held the record was the 2006-07 Anaheim Ducks. They would go on to win the Stanley Cup. No pressure or anything, Blackhawks.) One day, this streak will end, and the meatballs will scream about it to the high heavens. But let’s just enjoy it for a little bit, shall we?

Injury report:Daniel Carcillo will be out until late February at the earliest with a knee injury. For the Ducks, defenseman Cam Fowler is still on Injured Reserve with an upper-body injury. Goaltender Jonas Hiller will sit after leaving Friday’s game against the Dallas Stars with a lower-body injury. (NHL.com)
