The IceHogs only had two games on their slate for week 24 and they were back-to-back games north of the border in beautiful British Columbia.
The IceHogs broke out into a much needed offensive explosion in week 19 that propelled them into some favorable results against some extremely tough opponents.
Week 11 brought about three games for the IceHogs before the Christmas break. Two of them were against their rival to the North, the Milwaukee Admirals, and the other was their first match-up of the year against the Abbotsford Heat.
This past weekend was a big one for the IceHogs. It featured three games in three nights for the sixth time this year, and all of the games were against Midwest Division rivals. A midweek matchup against Abbotsford was also on Rockford’s plate.
The IceHogs looked to finish up their five game homestand on a high note in week nine. Then it was off to Peoria to close out their first three games in three nights set of the season.
A long road trip early in the season is always a good way to help teams gel and create team chemistry. The IceHogs got their chance to bond with their first long roadie of the year this past weekend as they made their way up to Abbotsford, British Columbia, for two games against the Heat.
