Later on today, the NHL and NHLPA will (probably) sign a Memo Of Understanding to formally end the lockout.
Today is also Marian Hossa‘s 34th birthday. Coincidence? Yes, probably. But we’ll wish him a happy birthday, anyway.
There is a picture going around purporting to be the Blackhawks’ regular season schedule (see below). As previously reported, this list has the Blackhawks opening on the road against the Los Angeles Kings. (All times listed seem to be local times.) The Blackhawks would have their home opener on January 22 against the St. Louis Blues. Until the MOU is signed, we won’t know for sure – but it’s something to start planning around while we wait for the NHL and NHLPA to get their ish together.
While we wait, let’s watch Michael Frolik and Corey Crawford talk to the press yesterday after practice.
Frolik: Looking to improve
Frolik on scouting the team
Frolik on playing in Europe
Crawford: high level of play
