If you hadn’t heard, Marian Hossa celebrated his 1,000th game in the NHL on Sunday in Detroit. Tomorrow, the Chicago Blackhawks will be honoring him before the game against the Minnesota Wild, according to CSN Chicago.
The Blackhawks will wear a commemorative version of their home jerseys during warmups; these will have Hossa’s name and his No. 81. Each jersey will then be autographed by Hossa and the player who wore it, and will be auctioned off on chicagoblackhawks.com beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and ending at noon on Monday, March 11. Proceeds from the jersey sales will be split between Hossa’s Heroes and Blackhawks Charities.
The team will also have an on-ice ceremony prior to the 7:30 p.m. puck drop to recognize Hossa.
I… I’m sorry. I’m just chopping onions in a dusty room.
