A Very Special Episode Of The Quiet Room: Blackhawks 4, Canucks 3 (SO)

Feel better soon, Hossa. (Photo: Bridget Samuels/flickr)

Since both Casey and I felt that we couldn’t put off talking about the Chicago Blackhawks versus the Vancouver Canucks game for a week, we decided to have a Very Special Episode of The Quiet Room to discuss the game.

Topics include:

  • Jannik Hansen‘s hit on Marian Hossa, for which he was suspended one game (check out the NHL’s explanation for the suspension after the jump)
  • The Blackhawks giving up the lead in the third
  • Pulling out the shootout win (thanks to… Andrew Shaw!?)
  • The responsibility of coaches speaking to the media after questionable plays

Click the green button below to listen. Next week, I swear the sound quality will improve.

Download the podcast here. (Right-click and select “Save target/link as…” to download the MP3 to your computer.)

After the jump is the NHL’s video explaining Hansen’s suspension.

DISCUSSION: One Response

This was a good one, guys. Really liked what Casey (I think?) said about it being kind of a lose-lose situation for Hansen – no good result out of that play.
