Jonathan Toews is still out recovering from concussion-like symptoms. He has sat out the past 13 games. There’s no timetable for his return. The Express entered the week in 10th place in the conference, vying with the Cincinnati Cyclones and Reading Royals for the eighth and final playoff spot. With four games on the schedule last week, it really was make-or-break for Chicago.

Because Illustrator has made me vain and self-conscious, I’m going to redraw some of my first Blackhawks comics. I’m starting with this one in honor/anticipation of the Hawks v. Canucks game today. And also because it’s one of my favorites. And I just really like Calvin & Hobbes.

I almost wish I could listen to Vancouver’s broadcast of the game so I could hear about how much they hate Bolly.
