It didn’t take long for former Chicago Cubs manager Dale Sveum to find another job. After being fired in Chicago following the end of the regular season, his old buddy Ned Yost decided to give Sveum a job.
The KC Royals announced today that Sveum has been hired as part of the 2014 coaching staff. He will be in charge of infield instruction and his in-game responsibilities will be decided at a later date. Sveum was a part of Yost’s coaching staff for three seasons in Milwaukee before getting the job with the Cubs the last two seasons.
Coaches Eddie Rodriguez (third base) and Chino Cadahia (bench) will not be brought back next season, though Cadahia was offered a job within the organization.
