As you may remember, after Milwaukee Brewers MVP Ryan Braun denied reports of performance enhancing drug use, his best friend and business partner, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers stuck up for him.
Rodgers took to Twitter to defend Braun. He offered an entire years salary that Braun was innocent of any wrongdoing.
I guess it’s time for Aaron to pay up. Because Ryan is far from exonerated.
Earlier this week, Braun was suspended for the remainder of the 2013 season after admitting to using PEDs from Miami-based Biogenesis. A total of 65 games.
Aaron is singing a totally different tune now.
“It doesn’t feel great being lied to like that and I’m disappointed about the way it all went down,” Rodgers said via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “He looked me in the eye on multiple occasions and repeatedly denied these allegations and said they were not true.”
This is seemingly a lesson for Rodgers that he shouldn’t be so trusting. Liars, like Ryan apparently is, can often be convincing when looking you in the eye and explaining how innocent they are to you.
Ryan has some serious making up to do with everyone … but especially his friend. Aaron isn’t convinced that he can still be business partners with Ryan.
Don’t blame him one bit!
I love a good athlete bro-mance. But Ryan really screwed up.
Aaron and Ryan are going to have to have a serious face to face conversation.
Aaron got a major dose of embarrassment thanks to this incident.
To do my part to make Aaron feel better, here’s this:
