Oklahoma Board Of Regents Gives President Boren All The Power

All aboard the realignment train! We actually have substance on the Sooners to the PAC-12 rumors and this time it is coming from the school president, David Boren.

Today the Oklahoma Board of Regents gave Oklahoma President, David Boren permission to handle any all decisions to pursue conference changing pertaining to to the University. President Boren stated that the University has had informal talks with the PAC-12 that have been very warm and constructive.

Boren also made sure to state that they have been working closely with Oklahoma State to decide what the final decision will be. Boren did say that leaving the Big XII isn’t a done a deal, yet (Yeah,Right).

It’s also been the reported that along with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech will be heading West as well. The Longhorns will have to change some of the aspects of the Longhorn Network before moving West though according to some PAC-12 insiders.

President Boren did state that he completely disagrees with the tactics that Baylor presented to A&M during the time when the Aggies were trying to leave for the SEC, aka Law suits.

Texas BOR met after Oklahoma’s meeting and also gave their school president permission to make the executive decision on conference realignment.  Oklahoma State’s BOR is set to meet Wednesday afternoon.

Bob Dylan said it best, ‘Times, They are a changin’. Time to buy a surf board and ocean front property in Laguna Beach.
