The Texas Longhorns came back to win yesterday to force a third game in the series against Arizona State. The Horns beat the Sun Devils 5-1.
The difference in the game was pitcher, Cole Green. Green has pitched 14 innings in this postseason, and has only allowed three runs while holding opponents to a .200 batting average. Green has 13 strikeouts and just one walk. Impressive.
Even when Green got behind in counts, he came up with some big pitches to work his way back into the at-bat, and he minimized innings.
The Longhorns will be back on tonight at 6:00 PM CST on ESPN… One game away from Omaha.
