OU Athletic Director Joe Castiglione
NCAA President Mark Emmert has made his selections for a new Division I football Bowl task force. The task force will be in charge of looking into several issues such as: financial management of bowl games and possible conflicts of interest.
Emmert chose three university presidents;Â Judy Genshaft from USF, Nathan Hatch of Wake Forrest, and John Peters of Northern Illinois. He also picked two Athletic Directors; Joe Castiglione from Oklahoma and Tim Curley from Penn State.
University of Nebraska Chancellor, Harvey Perlman along with American Express CEO Kenneth I. Chenault, will co-chair the task force.
Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson, Big 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe, Southeastern Conference Commissioner Greg Sankey,and Pac-12 administrator Kevin Weiberg were others named to also be a part of the task force.
Do you think this new “task force” will actually do any good for the bowl system?
