Rest And Recovery Over, Ravens Return To Practice

Ravens to face 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII

Still smiling after winning the AFC Title Game on Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens spent the week resting, recovering and making plans for their families to head to New Orleans to watch them play in the Super Bowl on February 3.

ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio reported that the team will return to the practice field on Thursday. Head coach John Harbaugh previously met with Ravens’ trainers to determine how long his players needed to rest and recover from their injuries.

The Ravens had three playoff games in a row, two on the road. Paolantonio added that the defense played so much that it was more like four games instead three. Coach Harbaugh wanted to give them extra time to recover.

Coach Harbaugh is also ignoring the storyline about playing his brother Jim’s team in the Super Bowl; he is focusing on his team and preparing them for the big game.

It is easy to get caught up in the hoopla of the Super Bowl, but it is vital that the Ravens stay grounded and focused.

While they are close to the finish line, they haven’t reached it yet and they must do everything in their power to prepare for the rest of the journey.
