Redskins Roundup: News and Ravens Preview

Redskins vs Ravens
Sunday, December 9, 12 pm CST

The Washington Redskins take on the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday. The Ravens are 9-3 on the season and are coming off a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, missing a chance to clinch a playoff berth.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been very up and down this season. In Sunday’s loss, you could tell that Flacco was having a down game and clearly frustrated. In the past few weeks, he has under thrown Torrey Smith several times which has costs the Ravens points. That being said, when Flacco is focused, he could be real trouble for the Redskins.

Washington needs to watch out for fullback Vonta Leach. He had some great hits in the game against the Steelers and should not be taken lightly. Cornerback Corey Brown had a great game against the Steelers especially when covering Antonio Brown. He definitely studied up on his players.

Linebacker Terrell Suggs has been out with a torn right bicep but says he is ready to play. He will be a game time decision.

Tune in Sunday to see how this game plays out.

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall says he’ll play on Sunday despite his injured ankle. He was wearing a walking boot and did not practice on Wednesday. Hall was hurt early in Monday’s game but did not come out.

“I feel all right,” Hall said. “There’s no way I’m not playing in this game. It’s a non-story.”

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that cornerback Cedric Griffin would be suspended for testing positive for the banned substance Adderall. Adderall is widely prescribed for patients with attention deficit disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder by increasing concentration. For others, it provides a boost of energy. About 10 other NFL players have been suspended this season for testing positive for Adderall. He is suspended for the final four games of the season.

The Prince George’s County Police Department had a busy night during and after the Redskins win over the Giants on Monday night and they tweeted most of the action. You can read the full article here but I think my favorite was this picture:
