The Tampa Bay Rays saw their AL Wild Card lead slip to just one game last night as Roberto Hernandez gave up a grand-slam in the 10th inning of Wednesday’s game against Boston.
On Tuesday night, a Massachusetts man at the game between Boston and Tampa Bay (which the Rays also lost) grabbed Raymond (the fuzzy blue mascot of the Rays). The man was charged with disorderly intoxication. Police said the “victim within the mascot suit” declined to press charges.
The Rays will look to avoid a series sweep when they face the Red Sox at the Trop tonight at 7:10 p.m.
