Tonight the Blues will face the Kings again and look to gain a 3-1 series lead.
The big change for the Blues is Vladimir Tarasenko making his playoff debut in tonight’s game and Adam Cracknell will rest. In today’s morning skate, Tarasenko was skating on the fourth line with Chris Porter and Ryan Reaves. It has been pointed out, however, that the fourth line may not be where he plays the entire game. (@jprutherford) According to Kevin Shattenkirk, Tarasenko is pretty jazzed.
Someone else who’s been much talked about of late is Patrik Berglund. When he’s not impressing Ken Hitchcock, who says these games are the hardest he’s ever seen Berglund compete (@jprutherford), he’s…wearing an Iron Man mask at Walmart? There’s nothing like getting serious.
The Kings will go with the same lineup tonight as in Game 3, including seven defensemen. (lkorac10.blogspot)
On a slightly off-topic note: Ranken Jordan (a pediatric hospital/therapy facility in St. Louis) had a music therapy session today in which the kids wrote a song for the Blues. Ranken Jordan posted the lyrics on their Twitter this afternoon.
So, to steal some words from the kids:
“We love the Blues, we love to watch ‘em play,
We love the Blues, at home or far away.
They shoot, they score,
We cheer them on some more,
We hope they beat the Kings today!“
