Reports confirmed Sunday that the Eagles quarterback Mike Vick will be placed with franchise tag, keeping him with the team in 2011. League sources also confirmed that the Eagles will begin listening to trade offers for backup QB Kevin Kolb.
Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Ashley Fox spoke with Vick after he lead the NFC team to a win 55-41 win over the AFC at this year’s Pro Bowl. Fox recounted the conversation via her Twitter account. Asked about the franchise tag, Vick said:
“You know what, it is what it is. It’s great to know they did want to have me around for another year. I’m going to make the most it, and I’m going to do everything that I’m asked to do … to excel and help this team win…That’s the most important thing — have a better year this year coming up than last year.â€Â
