Some of the FIU Panthers better get ready for the many changes coming their way as they get drafted into the MLB.

• Junior RF, Jabari Henry, just got drafted 18th round by the Seattle Mariners.

• While first baseman, Rudy Flores, was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 21st round.

• Pitcher, Mason McVay, was taken 26th round by the San Francisco Giants. No word if Sheila , who went missing at the end of the baseball season, is tagging along.

• Third baseman, Mike Martinez, was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 36th round.

Congrats all around!

The Panthers have beat a Top-20 team for the first time since they beat UM (when they were ranked #1) on April 23, 2008. The Panthers last beat Texas A & M on May 26, 1995. RJ Fondon pitched for 7 innings and gave up six hits. Closer Bryam Garcia got the win after pitching two innings. He only gave up one hit.

The Panthers won in the 10th inning after Aggie pitcher, Ross Stripling let Jabari Henry score on a wild pitch.

FIU plays the Aggies for the series win tomorrow at 2:05pm.

I always look forward to FIU Baseball season. This video has made me feel so incredibly pumped for February 18 to get here! I mean, how can it not make you get excited? The video features my friend, Panthers Outfielder, Jabari Henry and Pitcher Alberto Cardenas.

Admission to the game is $7 but if fans bring a Diet Pepsi can marked “Go Free”, admission is free! I love free tickets especially when it comes to baseball.
