FIU beat Troy 23-20 in what was arguably the most stressful game this season. Fumbles and silly penalties killed us tonight, but we came out with a win and that’s what counts. The game was won in overtime with a field goal from the 22-yard line from Jack Griffin. WR, Wayne Times, ended up #3 on ESPN Top 10 Plays for the night with an amazing 76 yard touchdown.

FIU won, but it was an ugly win. We need to stop the penalties and fumbles. We need to play like we did at the beginning of the season. Western Kentucky, who we play next, is not the same WKU from last year. They 3-1 in the Sun Belt Conference. They beat ULL last week. Remember, ULL is second in the conference. It is not going to be easy.

Don’t forget we have FAU coming to The Cage on November 12. That game is a must win! The Panthers need to focus and get ready for the rest of the schedule.

FIU is now 5-3, 2-2 in the Sun Belt.
