Oregon stays at second in AP Poll, FSU moves back to No. 2 in BCS standings

Though the top five teams in both this week’s AP Poll and BCS standings are the same, they’re in a slightly different order, with Oregon before Florida State in the AP rankings and the Seminoles ahead of the Ducks in the BCS. Six teams from the SEC are in the Top 15 in both polls, the most from any conference.

In the AP Poll, Michigan State had the biggest gain of the week, moving up six spots from No. 24 to No. 18 after beating Michigan, who was No. 23 but dropped out of the rankings this week. Texas Tech had the biggest fall in the AP Poll, dropping 10 places, from No. 15 to No. 25, after losing to Oklahoma State (who went from No. 18 to No. 15). Also, Notre Dame entered the rankings at No. 24 this week.

In the BCS standings, the Spartans also had the biggest rise, moving up five spots from No. 22 to No. 17, and the Red Raiders also had the biggest drop, going down 10 places from No. 15 to No. 25 there, too. Arizona State entered the standings at No. 22, while the Wolverines were again the only team to drop out of the standings.
