The Edmonton Oilers will kick off their 34th NHL season against the Winnipeg Jets on September 24th; this is the first of eight pre-season games the club will play this year. They play the Jets once again after that, the Islanders twice (on the same night!), the Canucks, then the Flames twice, and then the Canucks once more.

Tuesday, September 25 vs. Winnipeg Jets @ MTS Centre -6:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 27 vs. NY Islanders @ Rexall Place* – 7:00 p.m.

The * beside the two Islanders game indicates the night the Oilers and Islanders will split up their teams and play two games at once. One will take place with half of each team at Rexall Place – where New York will be visitors and Edmonton the home team – and the other will go down at the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. Nobody will be really ‘home’ – except for Regina natives Jordan Eberle and Devan Dubnyk – but New York will be playing in their home colours.
The Oilers close off the pre-season with a game against their Northwest Division rivals. the Vancouver Canucks.
