What we all knew was coming, has finally came out. According to an internal investigation head-up by Louis Freeh, a former FBI Director, Penn State officials concealed critical facts in order to keep the child abuse scandal out of the public eye.

The report by Freeh took eight months and is 267 pages long. He was hired back in November by the Penn State trustees when Sandusky was arrested.

Those mentioned in the report who played the biggest role in the cover-up was school president Graham Spanier, vice president Gary Schultz,  athletic director Tim Curley and Joe Paterno. The report found that they all could have prevented more sexual abuse if they would have originally taken action. The sexual abuse was brought to their attention in 1998, but chose to keep it quiet as to not shed any bad light om Penn State.

I am pretty sure the light just got blinding, gentleman. There is no way the school is going to recover anytime soon from this. Over 430 people were interviewed in the Freeh Report process, including the entire football program’s staff.

The Freeh report did also touch on the football program, not just the University as a whole.  The report says: “if Paterno and university leaders allowed Sandusky to retire in 1999, ”not as a suspected child predator, but as a valued member of the Penn State football legacy, with future `visibility’ at Penn State’,” allowing him to groom victims”.

The report, as I said, was something most of us already knew. But not it is completely official. Joe Pa and Company knew what was going on and failed to report it properly. The most powerful person on campus, Joe Paterno could have saved a lot of children and their families a lot of agony by doing the right thing….

Penn State is said to have a response very soon. Disgusting.
