As the Winter Meetings wind down, the biggest name still in play for the Mariners is Josh Hamilton.
From Ken Rosenthal’s Twitter account:
Sources: #Mariners have discussed three-year deals with Hamilton in range of $20M to $25M per season.
The likelihood of this deal hinges on the Rangers’ progress with Zack Greinke, as it is widely thought that the team will not strive to sign both players. Currently, the Dodgers appear to be backing off in their pursuit of the starter, which may bode well for both Texas and Seattle.
