I do not know how many direct messages, tweets, texts and Facebook posts I got within five minutes of Justin Verlander giving up five earned runs in the first inning, but I sure did.

Not only did Justin Verlander not perform like the American Legaue needed and expected him to, but his name is now in the tabloids.

I am just glad I got more texts and tweets about JV’s pitching performance then his dating life.

Last week Kate Upton was in a suite at the Detroit Tigers game and there was alot of chatter then, but now there have been reports of Verlander out and about with Upton.

Kate Upton and  Justin Verlander filmed a video game commerical earlier this year and clearly there was chemistry?  I mean a couple lines of conversation is really all it takes these days right?

I’ve never been much of a tabloid gal and to be honest I’ve never really cared about who is dating who, but Kate Upton?  I know all the guys are excited, but to be honest I do not think I can handle the camera constantly showing Upton in the suites drinking because she does not understand what is happening during the game.

Last night the American League lost to the National League 8-0.  Now I’m not saying it is all Verlander’s fault like alot of fans are because the AL did not score any runs, but it did not help the team morral when Verlander gave up those five runs right away.

Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera both did not come up with any hits but did get their couple innings in the game.

Melky Cabrera won the MVP award and Matt Cain got the win for the National League.
