Embarrassed, that’s the only emotion I have been feeling the past few mornings.
The Detroit Tigers have now lost three in a row.
The Tigers were up 3-0, until the fourth inning when Drew Smyly gave up two home runs to Will Middlebrooks and David Ortiz, putting the Red Soxs up 4-3.
Both the Red Soxs and the Detroit Tigers had 12 hits, but Detroit could not move their runners around the bases.
Detroit finishes their series with the Red Soxs tonight at 7:10p.m. and I am crossing my fingers that they can at least pull off one win. Why I need to say this sentence with the offense we have is beyond me, but I’m hanging in there. STAYING POSITIVE.
In related sad news, Doug Fister is now the 15 day DL with a left side strain. The move is retroactive to Tuesday.
In semi-related news, if you were voting on our poll and you voted Austin Jackson would have the highest average by May 31st, you were correct at .331. Prince Fielder came in second with .318 and Miguel Cabrera came in third with .315. Keep in mind Jackson has been out for quite some time so his average is not based off of the same amount of games.
