Chad Knaus Suspended? Must Be February.

Because the "bad" guys wear black hats...

All right, you fact-checkers, I know that Chad Knaus doesn’t get suspended EVERY year, but it sure seems like it.

Once again, NASCAR has brought out its favorite phrase in response to some new “innovation” from Chad Knaus of the Hendrick Motorsports 48 team.  Crew Chief Chad Knaus and Car Chief Ron Malec have been suspended for the next 6 races for actions detrimental to stock car racing.  This will leave them suspended through April 18th and on probation until May 9th.  Chad Knaus has been fined $100,000.  Losses of 25 championship points and 25 owners points were dealt to Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon respectively.

Jimmie Johnson will be going into this weekend’s race in Phoenix with -23 points.  As if finishing 42nd in Monday night’s Daytona 500 wasn’t enough of a mental hole to crawl from.

Motormouth Monday: The Jimmie Edition

Jimmie had more drama this week than an episode of Jerseylicious.

 

Jimmie Johnson has had a rough week.  He was blasted on Twitter over his nomination for athlete of the year.  He had an exciting race at Loudon with a pit crew snafu as well as an encounter with Juan Pablo Montoya.  Needless to say, these incidents are the perfect reason for me to get on my Monday Morning soapbox.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, chances are good that you’ve heard of a little drama on Twitter when Golden Tate might have just learned his first lesson in social media.  Tate, a WR for the Seattle Seahawks, objected to Jimmie Johnson being nominated for Best Male Athlete at the ESPY awards.  Here is a screenshot of the tweet heard ‘round the racetracks as it may be.
