Monday Morning Blitz: Not So Super Super Bowl

Sad-PeytonWe waited two weeks for what promised to be an epic battle. The best offense versus the best defense. The Broncos versus the Seahawks. Peyton Manning vs. Russell Wilson. RICHARD SHERMAN!

We didn’t get that epic battle.

Not at – FREAKING – all!

The Seahawks defeated the Broncos 43-8.

Goodness.

The Seahawks scored seconds into the game as a snap went over Manning’s head and that monster Seattle defense got a safety. Jeez.

But. Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks and their long suffering fans. And congratulations to Russell Wilson. An amazing young man who is going to be an even more amazing NFL quarterback for years to come. It just seems like a good dude.

Now some links!

How about Joe Namath’s pimpin’ fur coat? Y’all!

So… did this loss tarnish Peyton Manning’s legacy as one of the best QBs of all time? Of course not … but that is a narrative that is getting some play. For some reason. Read this from NFL.com if your curious about this shenanigans!

I’d say THIS PLAY made the trade for Percy Harvin so worth it for the Seahawks. Another view of said play from The Big Lead!

Here’s a break down of the … AMAZING … half time show featuring Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Yes. I enjoyed it. Judge me if you must! Thanks SBNation! Check out these moves!

And … Ummm… The Puppy Love – Budweiser commercial. FEELS! All of them!
