It has been confirmed: Dmitrij Jaskin will be making his NHL debut for the Blues tonight when they take on the Vancouver Canucks at 7:00 PM CST. (@StLouisBlues)

As far as details go, Hitchcock has said that Jaskin will be playing on the right wing with either Berglund or Porter as his center. (@lkorac10)

You can watch Jaskin as he talked to the media this morning here.

In other news, Hitchcock says he won’t know which forward will sit in Jaskin’s place until warm ups this evening. (@jprutherford) Yeah. Right. We totally believe that you have no idea, Hitch. But in reality we can pretty much guess that it will either be Reaves or Cracknell. And if there is any justice in this world, it will not be Cracknell.

Other game notes:

Brian Elliott was first off the ice following this morning’s optional skate and as such, will get the start in net for the Blues. (@lkorac10) The Canucks will counter with Cory Schneider (blues.nhl.com)

• In his last 15 games against Vancouver, David Backes has five goals and six assists. (@StLouisBlues)

TJ Oshie remains out of the line up with an ankle injury and the time table for his return is even less clear than it was previously.
