Flyers Create Internship To Honor Jessica Redfield
The Flyers are known for their charitable endeavors, raising millions of dollars with events like the Flyers Fight for Lives Carnival every year.
They are opening their hearts yet again by giving young women sports journalists an awesome opportunity.
In honor of Jessica Redfield, the aspiring NHL analyst who was killed in last month’s Aurora, Colorado tragedy, the Flyers created an internship for female college students who share the same dreams Jessica.
This internship will give a young woman the chance to learn from some of the best professionals in the sports industry. They will assist the PR department in preparing the press box, team media event, shadow various broadcasters and other media personalities. Not to mention all of the networking they could do while in the press box!
You can apply here. Good Luck!
*Side-note: I am interning with the Flyers’ PR department this Fall semester and I am so excited to meet the lucky girl who is chosen! I know I will be applying in the Spring!
