During the past week, most hockey players said the same things we did. Last Wednesday, they sat and enjoyed the 121212 concert for Hurricane Sandy held in New York at Madison Square Garden but broadcast all over the world. On Friday, they questioned how someone could hurt innocent elementary school students.
Fortunately in between those, we were able to find a few pictures that made us laugh…something I think we all need after the horrors of last Friday.
First up, we have Syracuse Crunch players Brett Connolly, Cory Conacher & Alex Killorn who are glad it’s Christmas time:
Can someone please tell me why Connolly and Killorn are wearing the same sweater? I’m sure there’s some joke we’re missing…
Next up, it’s the Connecticut Whale who also held their Christmas party last night. Here from left to right are Ryan Bourque, Matt Gilroy, Dylan McIlrath and Christian Thomas:
I wonder if McIlrath is saying “sorry for partying” because of what happened in Connecticut on Friday or because the Whale are on a two game losing streak. Either way, I don’t think we need to ask the boys to stop living and if this is when they had a day off, it is what it is.
We end with everyone’s favorite tweeter, Paul Bissonnette who didn’t have an ugly sweater to tweet just yet but instead posed an interesting question when heard about the NHL’s lawsuits:
McDonald’s Biz? Come on, at least apply somewhere a little classier like Tim Horton’s or Starbucks.
