They Said What? – Don’t Mess With Us Edition

This week we’re going to do something a little different and bring you a couple of tweets from various people involved with the NHL. We’ve got a current player, a past player and an official team feed. Why? Because you are NOT going to believe what any of them said! So here we go.

First off, we have Brandon Dubinsky now of the Columbus Blue Jackets (and yes, that still hurts to say but it is what it is). Last season, Dubi had many memorable moments with the Rangers but none more recognized than his little tantrum during Game 2 of the Rangers first round series against the Senators. Not that I blame him. It was less than five minutes into the game and he was getting thrown out because the refs refused to help his teammate. Either way, he did this:

A week and a half ago, he did a Q & A with fans on twitter and got asked about the incident.

Perfect answer if you ask me. Have to love the fact that he answered that question with the hundreds he probably had to choose from.

Next up, we have former NHLer and current broadcaster for the Blues and NHL Network Kelly Chase with this doozy:

The guy has a point. Can’t decide if I should shake my head or laugh. I think I’m going to do a little of both :-)

Lastly, we have an absolute classic. Everyone knows the LA Kings twitter feed is THE official team feed to follow. Yes they got a little obnoxious after they won but their tweets are still pure gold. That said, teams around the league are getting into the game too when they get chirped. Take this exchange between the Kings and the Red Wings:

Ouch! I love it! Of course the Kings had to respond:

In four years they’ve made serious strides? Well I guess looking at the changes in the league in four years, it is possible. That and you have a team that’s won one Stanley Cup trying to chirp back at one reminding them they’ve won eleven. Guess that’s the best they could do. Kings might have the Cup, but I call this one a win for the Red Wings.
