Our Thursday morning features aren’t just about stunning good looks. you know. We can appreciate a hockey player with impressive skill and other qualities. This is our monthly salute to these men for those other qualities, even if they may not be the best looking in the bunch.
This week we’re taking a closer look at Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins. He’s a fiesty pest that has already made a fair amount of enemies in his brief time in the NHL. Take it away Nose Face Killah…
Marchand has already been dubbed the “Little Ball of Hate”, a moniker even President Obama brought up when the Bruins brought the Stanley Cup to the White House. During the 2010-11 season, he established himself as a solid two-way player. He scored 28 goals and 55 points in his second full season in the NHL last year.
Yeah, and there’s the rather prominent nose. It’s definitely handy for opposing fans to use when mocking him.
Love him or hate him, there’s no question that Marchand has made an impact. Awww, puppy.
And now..
Douglas Murray of the San Jose Sharks. He has the least Swedish name ever, but he totally looks like a viking.
