Sometimes, real life takes over and there’s no way to avoid it. So, apologies from me for getting this up a day late. Hopefully these ridiculous tweets will make up for it!
For sixteen teams, this morning signaled another practice as the “second season” begins. The other fourteen spent the past two days saying goodbye and thank you to their fans for sticking by them. Here’s to remembering the teams that ended their seasons too soon.
Today we have tweets from all over the spectrum. The best we saw was a conversation between Ryan Kesler, Roberto Luongo and Kevin Bieska of the Vancouver Canucks last night regarding two of them apparently looking alike and hair gel (I kid you not). Since conversations are difficult to screenshot (especially since this one was all over the place), you can check it out here, here and here.
So what other tweets do we have for you?
This weeks’ edition brings tweets from some of our favorites and while we don’t like to post the same guys…well other guys need to step up to their level.
Sure, tweets from hockey players are a great thing, but it’s even better when they tweet photos. Mostly because they’re hilarious.
This past week brought us a first of this short season – a hockey game canceled due to weather. And while the Boston blizzard also brought us some great player tweets, we can’t help but thank the LA Kings for the hockey lesson they tweeted yesterday.
Hockey players are like a family. Sure, they fight on the ice and say some not so nice things to each other, but at the end of the day, they love each other, as is evident by these next couple of tweets.
Hockey’s back! Huzzah! Don’t worry, we’ll keep doing what we do on Wednesday mornings. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of bad hockey cards.
I certainly hope those were the conversations they really had on the ice back in the day.
In looking through tweets from NHL players over the last week, I had a lot of options for this post. From Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle chirping Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to Roberto Luongo, I mean Strombone, being his usual crazy self, there were a lot of tweets to choose from.
And then the NHL lockout ended and the players went nuts tweeting some ridiculous things. Therefore I bring to you, the best player remarks after the lockout was declared over.
I’ll be completely honest with you. There’s no point in pretending there’s any theme with this week’s cards. It’s the day after Christmas and we’re all still working through our food comas. Just a little light WTF for you on December 26th.
Yes, Tony Amonte did play for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Phoenix Coyotes. The cubist hockey playing desert dog is just kind of hovering next to him like a peyote induced specter. Trippy…
