What does this man have to do with today’s tweets? Keep reading to find out! (Photo: Bridget Samuels/flickr)
Today we have tweets from all over the spectrum. The best we saw was a conversation between Ryan Kesler, Roberto Luongo and Kevin Bieska of the Vancouver Canucks last night regarding two of them apparently looking alike and hair gel (I kid you not). Since conversations are difficult to screenshot (especially since this one was all over the place), you can check it out here, here and here.
So what other tweets do we have for you?

Secret’s out, Gill
The NHL is back! Yay! But with that, we’re probably going to see a lot less tweets by hockey players. Sad face. So here’s a bunch of tweets that made us laugh this week during training camp.

Poor guy just wants to play! (Photo: Bridget Samuels/flickr)
With Christmas tomorrow, we figured we would give you some bonus tweets today. It could also be simply because I couldn’t decide which ones to choose out of the hilarious things some of the guys said this past week. And you’ll see by not deciding, I mean I couldn’t decide between numerous tweets from the same people!
So what have the boys been saying this week?

Players get their hustle back in Wednesday night’s RBC Play Hockey Charity Challenge. (Photo: Erin Pryde)
The RBC Play Hockey Charity Challenge did more than boost the spirits of hockey fans and give 39 players a chance to get back on the ice, it raised over $100,000 for the NHLPA Goals & Dreams Fund and the RBC Play Hockey initiative.
Before the players even had a chance to walk into the dressing rooms at Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre, formerly Maple Leaf Gardens, fans had lined up to see them and no matter the age, the smiles stretched from ear to ear.

We all have Olympic fever right now. Admit it – you find yourself watching sports you only watch once every four years. (Water polo anyone?) Well hockey players are just like us. Between preparing for next season (whenever it may be), attending CBA negotiating sessions or getting married (anyone noticed how many hockey players got married this year?), the boys are also watching the Olympics.
How do I know? They tweet about it of course!

At last, we arrive at the coda of the 2011-12 NHL season, the NHL Awards. The National Hockey League will spend the next few hours cringing at terrible jokes, raising an eyebrow just what Steven Stamkos is wearing, and hoping a Real Housewife doesn’t butcher another poor hockey player’s name. (Seriously, “Mar-TEN Saint Louissss” still rings in my ears to this day.)
The NHL Awards will air on NBC Sports Network starting at 7pm ET/6pm CT, and I’ll be here, live blogging the entire thing.
So grab your drink and pull up a seat. It’s going to be another long night.
All times in the liveblog are listed in CT. Newest posts will be on top.
