Glendale Residents Try To “Inform Glendale”

As the Coyotes move into their third summer of legal battles in an attempt to stay in Arizona, the residents of Glendale are left to try and figure who to believe. To help with that, some residents (who claim not to be Coyotes fans) have set-up the site informglendale.com. When viewers open the site, the first thing they see is:

This website exists not because we are Coyotes fans, but because we are residents of Arizona who are concerned that the facts of the Coyotes lease deal with Glendale aren’t being provided to you, the citizens. The people/groups that are giving you their “enhanced” version of the facts have their own agendas: they benefit from the prolonged legal battle while you, the citizens, suffer the consequences.

The site let’s residents know exactly what is at stake if the Coyotes stay or leave, who Greg Jamison and the Goldwater Institute are, as well as provides all the official documents being discussed. It’s honestly a very handy site that puts the whole battle in plain English.

Obviously it is directed to those who live in Glendale but I suggest anyone interested in the Coyotes battle to visit the site. Especially those deciding if they should sign the petition for a referendum against the arena vote which needs 1,862 valid signatures by July 9th. You may be surprised what you learn.
