In honor of the two teams left battling to win the Stanley Cup, this week’s fight comes to us from January 4th 1988.
For uniform hounds, check out the specimens on display. The purple and gold on the Los Angeles Kings and the Christmas like splendor worn by the New Jersey Devils. While some people look back fondly on retro uniforms, I think it’s fair to agree that the world is a better place with these a lot less visible in the NHL.
A lot of guys got involved in this, but the main line ups were: Ken Baumgartner vs Craig Wolanin – Jim Fox vs Pat Verbeek – Steve Duchesne vs Kirk Muller.
