Boedker to Europe

On a continuation of me crying into my soup, Mikkel Boedker has packed his bags for Europe. According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the forward has signed with the Finnish SM-Liiga.

He, along with two other Danes, have signed with the Finnish club. Boedker will make a nice addition to the team that does not have much NHL experience on it. With a postseason of eight points in sixteen games, I hope this team is aware of the great forward they’ll be adding.

I found it very odd, however, that the day that the news of the entire preseason cancelled is the day that Boedker chose to sign with the team. He probably has about as much faith as I do in this whole mess getting resolved anytime soon.

I have some hope though that progress will be made this weekend! If not, well we won’t talk about that. On the bright side, college hockey is not locked out! Neither is minor league hockey, both of which can be found in the desert, if one knows where to look.
