Or Ben Bishop making FORTY-SIX saves in the Binghamton Senators 3-2 win over the Toronto Marlies yesterday?

What’s that? There was other news today? Oh, yeah the NHL cancelled more games and the All-Star game. That’s nice.

As I was saying…

In all seriousness, is anyone surprised by this cancellation? Better yet, does anyone care? I don’t know about everyone else but I’m finding it harder and harder to care about what the NHL and PA are doing.

Sure, I plan to have a great time at Operation Hat Trick tomorrow but that’s because that has nothing to do with this mess. I won’t hear the words “lockout” or “decertify” or “HRR”, if they are even discussing that one anymore.

What I’ve realized is the two sides don’t get it. I originally thought they did and just didn’t believe it was as bad as it seemed. But now I realize that isn’t so. They would rather point fingers and cry that the other side is giving them nothing rather than to realize that no one – fans, media – are paying attention anymore. But keep fighting over the money boys. By the time you’re done, you will be wishing there were pennies left to share.
